Hi, First thing to be said is that a master degree in nursing is the usual educational pattern that allows a nurse to work as nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, certified clinical nurse specialists, and certified nurse anesthetists. In USA you can chose from a wide range of master degrees, with around 330 master nursing programs accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). Admission requirements vary from school to school and from master to master. In general you'll need a a bachelor's degree from a school accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Additionally you'll be require a state RN license are required in most of the cases in order to have access to a master degree. Previous clinical work experience will sometimes be required as well. Since this degree you're looking at is a nurse anesthetist program you will probably be require an upper-level college course in biochemistry. As previously stated, admission requirements vary a great deal, so it is better to contact the school directly.
