Our Health and Physical Education program prepares you for a career of teaching others how to be proper stewards of the bodies God has entrusted to them. This program will stretch you mentally and help you improve your own physical abilities, all while training you to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others. Core courses We give you a strong foundation to understand and apply biblical truth through 42 hours of Bible and theology courses.. A required set of General Studies courses supplements that foundation and enables you to consider the world in which you will minister. You will then build on this foundation with over 40 credit hours studying the specific disciplines of your field and determining how you can best apply your unique strengths, gifts, and abilities. The core courses of this program include the following: Adapted Physical Education Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries Coaching Techniques Exercise Physiology First Aid / CPR / Aquatics / Fitness Foundations of Health and Physical Education Health Education Concepts and Strategies Human Anatomy and Physiology with Lab Kinesiology Methods of Teaching Physical Education Motor Learning and Skills Analysis Sports Skills Assessment Exam Sports Skills Proficiency Exam Making the program your own You will graduate having completed coursework equivalent to a double major in Bible and Physical Education , and will be awarded a B.S. in Bible. You can choose to focus on your areas of strongest interest. The range of classes and expertise at BBC makes this possible, providing you the greatest preparation toward your desired post-graduate pursuit. Many options after graduation The Health and Physical Education program encompasses grades K-12, giving you the option of teaching or coaching at the elementary, middle school, or high school level. You will receive certification from the Association of Christian Schools International to teach Social Studies in grades 7-12. You will also be eligible to apply for Pennsylvania state certification, which will allow you to teach in public schools. The state of Pennsylvania shares certification reciprocity with many other states, most likely enabling you to teach in the state of your choice. Many graduates go further with master's and doctorate degrees .
