Emphasis will be placed on building site location and preservation, neighborhood sustainability, conservation of non-renewable resources, waste management, water quality, and air quality both inside and outside the building . Students will have the opportunity to learn how to make sound economic recommendations regarding the combination of building technologies, energy loads, and onsite power generation to meet the qualifications of a net zero energy home.
