Interior Design from California College of the Arts is a Campus Bachelor Design degree that prepares you for a Art and Design career. CCA's Interior Design Program provides an interdisciplinary design education where critical, artistic, historical, and material approaches to the practice of interior and environmental design integrate theory with art and technology. We prepare our students to be innovative leaders in the area of spatial design, which in turn educates them to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future. Interior Design students develop projects within a convergence of environmental, architectural, and social contexts, with an emphasis on creativity and habitability. Program faculty encourages the critical thinking necessary for an understanding of human interaction; students gain all the essential conceptual and technical skills to successfully compete in today's marketplace. Foundation courses teach a methodology of research, analysis, design, presentation, and, most importantly, concept development. During the junior year, students may participate in a unique studio program that affords travel to other cities and regions, fostering an understanding of various cultural contexts through which to explore architecture, environments, and interiors . Students then create a studio project based on that evolving knowledge and insight. Seniors complete a focused senior project and thesis. View more details on California College of the Arts .
