After a year of classroom and school lab education, during the summer between their junior and senior years, qualified AYES students are placed into and begin a 400-hour paid internship at local automotive dealerships. They work with a trained technician-mentor and gain firsthand knowledge of how a service department operates and what career opportunities are available. Students frequently continue working with their mentor after school hours and through their senior year.
