East Asian Studies from Emory University is a Campus Bachelor Area Studies degree that prepares you for a Liberal Arts career. Emory's East Asian Studies Program (EASP) serves as an intellectual center connecting faculty and students from a broad range of disciplines, departments and schools, and links our East Asia-related activities with those of other universities in the region as well as the community at large. Emory's undergraduate programs in East Asian studies are well-rounded, and include courses ranging from introductory surveys to advanced language study. In addition to complete four-year cycles of modern Chinese and Japanese, Emory offers one year of classical Chinese, courses in Elementary Korean, and more than 40 courses on diverse aspects of East Asian studies . Study abroad opportunities form an integral part of our curriculum. We have an Emory sponsored program, Chinese Studies Summer Program at Beijing Normal University, and have approved for Emory credit courses at the following universities and programs: Japan (Hokkaido International Foundation, ICU), Kansai Gaidai, Kwansei Gakuin, Kyoto Center for Japanese Studies , (Princeton in Ishikawa); China (CET Beijing, CET Harbin, CIEE Shanghai); Korea (Yonsei University); and SIT Mongolia.
