Program Mission Statement The mission of the Health Information Management Program at Greenville Technical College is to provide our graduates with the skills and knowledge needed by our community of employers to perform the many and varied functions required of Health Information Management professionals. Accreditation The associate degree program at Greenville Technical is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) and meets the educational standards for a Health Information Management program.Upon completion of the associate degree program, graduates are eligible to take a national certification examination. Upon satisfactory completion of the certification examination, the credential of Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is awarded. The profession requires no patient contact.
