The interdisciplinary approach of the program offers students, in addition to a comprehensive health core taught by specialists in their respective areas, a variety of courses taken at New College for Interdisciplinary Studies and in the departments of psychology, biology, sociology, and counseling, research, special education, and rehabilitation. Experiential learning is facilitated through two 3-credit field experiences.
