The women's studies major cultivates skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, and information literacy. Those majoring in women's studies can elect a double major in another academic discipline. Students choosing to major or minor in women's studies are also encouraged to pursue a concentration or theme of their choice. For example, students could specialize in women and literature, women in the social sciences, or feminism and the arts, among other subjects.
