The Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education degree program is designed to prepare professionals in the field of early childhood education . Early Childhood Education is the study and education of young children from birth through third grade. Candidates majoring in Early Childhood Education may elect to pursue a Standard K-8 teaching certificate or a Blended Early Childhood Education / Early Childhood Special Education Certificate. This degree program is competency/field based and allows candidates the opportunity to apply course work instruction to practical experiences in approved early childhood education centers at each level of preparation.
