As a faculty, we are committed to a study of religious texts and traditions that incorporates the diversity not only of the world's religions but also of the scholarly methods and approaches with which we study them. You will find among us historians, philologists, philosophers, ethicists, theorists of religion , and others whose work defies such labels. Despite the relative youth of our doctoral program, our graduates have been remarkably successful at landing tenure-track jobs at quality institutions and major post-doctoral fellowships. Our graduates teach at the following institutions, among others: American University, Augustana College, Ball State University, California State University at Chico, DePauw University, McGill University, North Carolina State University, Northern Arizona University, the University of Calgary, the University of Mississippi, the University of Richmond, Villanova University, University of Virginia, and Virginia Wesleyan University.
