The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is a 15-credit-hour program of study. The certificate program is designed to meet the needs of public health professionals who are seeking the opportunity to continue their education while working. This program consists of evening classes and is available to US citizens and permanent residents. In order to receive the Graduate Certificate in Public Health , students must complete 15 credit hours of the approved public health course work with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (?B? grade on a 4.0 scale). The five core courses comprise the Graduate Certificate curriculum requirements. Transfer credit or course waivers are not allowed as substitution for any courses in the certificate program. Students who have been awarded a Graduate Certificate in Public Health have two years to apply their credits toward the MPH degree. Graduates of the certificate program who do not apply to the MPH Program within two years after completion of the certificate program are not eligible to apply their 15 credits from the certificate program toward the MPH Program on the IUPUI campus. Admission to or successful completion of a certificate program does not guarantee subsequent admission to the MPH Program.
