Photography from Long Island University - C W Post Campus - Brookville NY is a Campus Bachelor Photography degree that prepares you for a Art and Design career. The photography program gives the student an overview of fine art and documentary as well as commercial aesthetics and techniques. The curriculum allows the student to take up to five computer graphics classes as part of the photography major. The photographic studios and darkrooms provide an exciting atmosphere in which to create master prints and professional imagery. There is a new state of the art black and white wet darkroom, two computer digital darkrooms, a large shooting studio fully equipped with strobes, soft boxes and other lighting equipment (both 4" x 5" & 8" x 10" cameras;) available from the department for student use. In the advanced digital darkroom there are three large format archival inkjet printers, one 16" wide, one 24" wide and the other 60" wide. All three large format printers take roll paper 100' long. The program teaches students how to see and conceptualize their world, preparing them for graduate study or entry-level positions in the photography job market.
