Graduates will be prepared for entry level employment in environmental engineering or acceptance into a graduate program in environmental engineering, science, or related fields. 2.) Graduates will be equipped to apply principles of mathematics, science, and engineering to characterize, solve, design, and prevent environmental problems. 3.) Graduates will be able to work individually and in diverse teams while effectively communicating with peers, clients, and the public. 4.) Graduates will be primed to adjust to the changing nature of the environmental field recongizing the social and economic constraints of a global community. Environmental Engineering Program Outcomes: a. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering . b. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. c. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constrains; such as, economic, environmental, social, political, ethnical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. d. An ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams. e. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. f. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility. g. An ability to communicate effectively. h. An understanding of the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context. i. An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice. l. Demonstrate ability to be able to apply mathematics through differential equations, calculus-based physics, general chemistry, and probability and statistics through environmental applications. o.
