Environmental Sciences Bachelor from Northwestern University details

Program Format: Campus Program Level: Bachelor

Environmental Sciences from Northwestern University is a Campus Bachelor Enviroment degree that prepares you for a Science career. Environmental problems are some of the most challenging facing the world today. Because no single field of study can encompass all issues relevant to the environment, faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences in the early 1990s created a new interdisciplinary major focused on human-environment interactions. Recently, the program of study in Environmental Sciences was revised to provide a closer association with Environmental Engineering and Environmental Policy. In keeping with its interdisciplinary, synthetic approach, the Environmental Science , Engineering, and Policy Program is jointly administered by the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science . Students in ESEP declare either an Environmental Sciences or an Environmental Engineering major. Environmental Sciences is a broad-based major that is designed to provide students with the scientific training necessary to understand the natural world and the impact humans have had on it. Within the Environmental Sciences major, students can choose to follow a Science or Policy track. This allows students to enter a broadly based program, take a number of common courses and then specialize in a particular field. View more details on Northwestern University .
