Electronic Systems Technology from Southeast Community College Area is a Campus Associate Electrical Engineering degree that prepares you for a Engineering career. Overview The world of electronics and information technology is an exciting and challenging profession that allows workers to be creative and challenges them to improve their skills and abilities. SCC?s Electronic Systems Technology program offers three focus areas: Computers, Automation and Networking Systems; Electronic Systems Technician; and Electronic Systems Military. The CANS focus prepares students to become technicians who install, configure and repair industrial control systems, including such devices as programmable logic controllers, robotics and vision systems. EST focus teaches students to install, configure and repair commercial and consumer electronic products such as computer systems, video and audio systems, AM/FM broadcast, two-way radio communication systems, avionics, security systems and telephone systems. The ESM focus is for military personnel who have performed the repair and maintenance of various types of electronic equipment during duty. Using that prior military training as the core for this AAS degree , students can take additional educational requirements to prepare for entry and advanced level employment in a wide array of electronic careers. Day and evening classes are offered on the Lincoln Campus; daytime classes are offered on the Milford Campus. Mission The mission of the Electronic Systems Technology program is to prepare students to install, configure, analyze, test, maintain, and repair consumer electronics, industrial controls, robotics, security systems, communication systems, computer systems, and networks.
