Coursework Successful completion of the following academic program is required for this degree: * Completion of the general studies requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree including a total of 120 hours of acceptable course work, 45 hours of which must be in upper division courses. * Completion of the following required courses (26 total credits): * BIOL 203 & 204 General Biology (10 credits) * BIOL 321 Genetics (3 credits) * BIOL 323 Cellular Biology (3 credits) * BIOL 325 Cellular/Genetics Lab (1 credit) * BIOL 330 Ecology (4 credits) * BIOL 332 Evolution (3 credits) * BIOL 493, 494 Thesis I & II (two credits) * Required support courses (13 credits): * CHEM 111, 112 Introductory Chemistry (10 credits) or, * CHEM 131, 132 General Chemistry 10 credits) and, * CHEM 321 Organic Chemistry (5 credits) * MATH 205 Introduction to Statistical Methods (3 credits) * Students electing to take the B.A. in Biology must also complete a minor of their choice for a grand total of 60-65 credits.
