Students majoring in Spanish Cultural Studies will *Undertake in-depth study of Spain as a country and its civilization. *Study Spain in relation to other Mediterranean cultures and its influence in the Region. *Study the impact of Spain as a member of the European Union and as a bridge to North-African nations and Latin America. *Study the role of Spain as a former colonial power in Africa and Latin America and its present role as an intermediary before the European Union. *Compare U.S. historical evolution with that of Spain as an international power. *Compare U.S. values with those of a country that, like the United States, is the product of a historical merging of cultures. Students need to meet the GPA eligibility requirements for study abroad through Arcadia's Center for Education Abroad.
