The graphic information technology concentration provides students the opportunity to study within the various areas of graphics. This could include traditional and digital printing and publishing, multimedia, 3-D modeling, Web development, digital photography, and animation. Courses allow students to obtain a working knowledge of the different facets of the graphic information industry. The focus for this GIT is on Graphic Communication. This is not a traditional Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), or Management Information Systems (MIS) program. Candidates for the Master's degree in GIT are expected to have an academic background in graphics although this background may be supplemented by work experience within the graphics field.
