Natural Resources Management from Bacone College is a Campus Associate Natural Resources degree that prepares you for a Science career. The Bacone College Natural Resources Program is designed to give the student an excellent general education program along with a broad background in natural resource related courses. The unique combination of field studies and classroom work gives our students the knowledge and problem-solving skills to make rational decisions affecting the use and conservation of our natural resources and environment. The founding of Bacone College in 1880 as an American Indian college gives us a rich heritage enabling us to emphasize the historical perspective of Native Americans and their stewardship of natural resources and the environment. The Bacone graduate will be able to pursue a natural resource career immediately in federal, state and private industry in natural resource related fields such as: forestry, parks and recreation, horticulture, soil conservation, and fish and wildlife. Summer internships in forestry are currently available to our students. Bacone is actively pursuing the expansion of these internship programs to include parks and recreation, fish and wildlife, soil conservation and other natural resource related fields.
