Core courses We give you a strong foundation to understand and apply biblical truth through 42 hours of Bible and theology courses. A required set of General Studies courses supplements that foundation and enables you to consider the world in which you will minister. You will then build on this foundation with 40 credit hours studying the specific disciplines of your field and determining how you can best apply your unique strengths, gifts, and abilities. The core courses of this program include the following: Church Evangelism Strategies Dynamics of Discipleship Education Ministries of the Church Expository and Advanced Expository Preaching Family Life of the Ministry Leader Greek I, II, III, IV Ministry Leadership Pastoral Counseling Pastoral Seminar Personal Life of the Ministry Leader Making the program your own You will be required to complete seven units of course-related practical ministry. Two will be in evangelism related ministries and one will be in Bible teaching. The Advanced Expository Preaching course requires you to preach in a local church. You will also be encouraged to earn academic credit in a summer apprenticeship program. As students move into advanced classes, the student-to-teacher ratio becomes even smaller, offering a greater degree of personal attention and individual instruction. Many options after graduation The program will ground you in the truths of the Word of God. A combination of challenging coursework, faculty mentorship and ministry experience equips you to teach, disciple, and counsel from a biblical worldview.
