The first step in becoming a Registered and Licensed Dietitian is to complete a baccalaureate degree in an accredited dietetics curriculum. The Bluffton University program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association . As a graduate in dietetics , students are eligible to apply for a hospital or other accredited internship program. Following completion of this internship, graduates are eligible to take the national registration examination, which in Ohio is the state licensure exam.
