PROGRAM REVIEW: * In order to be admitted into the AST program, a student must be eligible for enrollment at BPCC. * COMPASS and/or ACT scores should be on file, and all developmental coursework must be completed with a ?C? or better. * A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for admission. * Students seeking entry into the program must submit an AST application including letter of recommendation, resume', and a written personal statement. * Applicants must participate in an entrance interview and complete a sex offender and FBI criminal history background check. * Applicants accepted into the AST program must maintain a 2.5 GPA and complete all coursework with a ?C? or better. * Passing scores must be earned on PRAXIS 1 and section 0014 of PRAXIS II. * 40 hours of field experience must be completed during the TEAC 201 and 203 courses. * Artifacts created during the TEAC courses must be assembled into the electronic portfolio. * Prior to graduation, applicant must successfully complete an exit interview.
