Pennsylvania Director Credential from Bucks County Community College is a Campus Certificate Child Care degree that prepares you for a Human Services career. The Pennsylvania Director Credential Certificate program gives center directors the opportunity to keep pace with changes in the child care center industry, technology, human resources, and employment resources. Directors and assistant directors and administrators who do not participate in Keystone STARS programs may take the Director Credential Certificate program. Graduates can apply to PA Key for award of the Director Credential upon successful completion of the Pennsylvania Director Credential Certificate program of study. The Director Credential is valid for five years from the date of award of the initial credential, after which it is renewable every five years. Completion of the Certificate allows the director of the child care center to make application to achieve STAR 3 level of Keystone STARS. Graduates of this program will be able to: * formulate management skills, learn new skills, and assemble a network of peers for support; * assess the changes in the child care center industry, technology, human resources, and funding resources; * evaluate personal values, skills, and leadership styles; * explore the many dimensions of leadership; * apply the material from the courses to their educational setting; and * employ the learning objectives for the Pennsylvania Director Core Certificate designed by Pennsylvania Pathways which are consistent with the PA Core Body of Knowledge for Early Childhood and School-Age Caregivers.
