Students choose either a standard art major curriculum or the art major with a concentration in design, which incorporates advanced courses in computer graphics. To enhance their creative skills and prepare them for professional work, students learn how to use sophisticated computer graphics programs that rely on the latest software and configurations. Students are encouraged to participate in University-sponsored projects and tours abroad. Many art majors study at the Studio Art Center International in Florence, Italy or other programs, for one semester. Art majors accept internships at area museums and centers and have opportunities to participate in performances by Cal Lutheran's drama and music departments. Art majors also take advantage of the many museums and architectural landmarks that grace the Southern California landscape, including J.
