Lodging Management from Capital Region Career & Technical School is a Campus Certificate Management and Innovation degree that prepares you for a Business career. The Lodging Management Program (LMP) at the Capital Region Career & Technical School is a one-year program for high school juniors or seniors seeking careers in the management or operation of resorts, hotels, motels, casinos, theme parks, and other, diverse businesses. Students gain hands-on, real-world knowledge, learning both on campus and at area businesses. They also earn college credit and may earn high school credit for integrated English and/or math. Students who complete the Lodging Management Program are well prepared for success in the educational and employment arenas. Juniors completing Lodging Management may continue their studies through Career & Tech programs such as Culinary Arts & Hospitality Technology or International Virtual Business. Several college articulation agreements provide post-high school opportunities. Seniors completing Lodging Management may continue their studies at the college level at two- or four-year postsecondary programs or enter higher level, managerial positions in the field.
