Students completing the diploma are eligible to sit for the N.C. Board of Funeral Service Funeral Director state exam. This academic program is designed to meet specific state or professional needs. It is not accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service ducation owing to the fact that it does not include instruction in the following areas: anatomy, chemistry, embalming, microbiology and restorative arts.
