Detailed throughout the program curricula are the skills and knowledge needed to support the homeland security mission of preventing terrorist attacks within the United States; reducing the United States' vulnerability to terrorism; minimizing damage and assisting in recovery of occurring terrorist attacks; acting as a focal point regarding natural and man-made crises and emergency planning; and monitoring connections between illegal drug trafficking and terrorism.
