The goals of the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration (MSCJA) program are to enable the student to develop critical thinking skills, the ability to review, analyze, and disseminate applied and theoretical knowledge pertaining to criminal justice administration. In addition, the MSCJA program prepares the student for instructional positions within the academic community as well as admission to other graduate programs. The MSCJA degree is recommended for those individuals who are pursuing careers or further education in the following: 1. Federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement 2. Homeland Security and leadership development 3. Private Security and Investigation 4. Probation, parole, and community corrections 5. Law school TIME LIMIT The time limit to complete all MSCJA program requirements is five years, which commences the term that the student enters the program. If a student fails to complete all requirements in the allotted time of five years, that student will be subject to dismissal from the MSCJA program and will have to apply for readmission.
