Emergency Medical Technician Basic from Clark College is a Campus Certificate Medical Emergency degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program is a one (1) quarter clinical program with preliminary requirements that must be completed before program entry. Admission to the program is outlined in two stages: preliminary requirements and final program admission. Preliminary Requirements Applicants must be 18 years old upon program entry AND must be graduates of an accredited high school (or the equivalent). Candidates must: Submit the Community College Application for Admission and the Emergency Medical Services Application forms to the Clark College Admissions Office with the $40.00 non-refundable application fee. Submit official high school transcripts in sealed envelope or GED scores and official college transcripts from all colleges attended. Achieve a Clark College cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher. Additional Program Requirements Students are strongly encouraged to complete the required courses prior to entrance into the EMT program. If not completed prior to program entry, the additional requirements must be completed concurrently with the EMT program (EMT 103). HEOC 100 and 101 or equivalent HEOC 120 or seven hour AIDS Education Certificate The most recent educational experience will be used to meet these criteria. Applicants are responsible for requesting their official high school and college transcripts (or GED scores) be sent to Clark College . Final Program Admission Upon completion of preliminary requirements, an evaluation will be completed and the applicant will be notified by the Credential Evaluations Office of additional procedures necessary for program consideration.
