Cosmetology from Clearfield County Career and Technology Center is a Campus Certificate Cosmetology degree that prepares you for a Vocational Programs career. Cosmetology is the art and science of beautifying hair, skin and nails. It is a three-year program with 1250 hours of study. Students must apply in ninth grade for acceptance into the program. Successful completion of hours prepares graduates for the PA State Board Exam and employment at entry-level jobs. Areas of Instruction After 300 hours, students begin practicing their skills on the paying public. From September through early May, a clinic is available for the public who pays for cost of materials to have the services done. Students learn basics through advanced techniques.
