The Associate Degree program in professional nursing prepares students for a career as a Registered Nurse, with the potential to work in a variety of health care settings, Students successfully completing the program will be eligible to take the national licensure examination for registered nurses. This program is fully registered by the University of the State of New York and nationally accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The program of study in professional nursing coursework is tightly organized and sequential. Students must follow the prescribed course sequencing published in the handbook and college catalog. All required science, math and nursing courses must be completed with a C grade or higher. A minimum of 65 credits with a grade point average of 2.0 is required for graduation.
