Faculty work closely with students to ensure their academic success.The BS in Geology and Secondary Education includes coursework coursework required for teacher certification in addition to coursework providing a comprehensive background in the geosciences. Our program is NCATE accredited and one of few in the state to provide this depth of training for teachers in secondary earth science. The diverse experience of the faculty allows a range of upper-level elective courses to be offered that introduce students to various sub-fields within the geological sciences and expand their college experience.
