Choosing between a general art history major and a pre-professional art history major, students in the Art History program are trained in both Eastern and Western traditions with foci upon breadth of coverage and depth of methodological competency. All 300 level classes are taught as graduate seminars with emphasis given to individual projects and individual research. In addition to the wide range of courses offered at Concordia, students have the option to enrich their training in the History of Art by selecting courses from Minnesota State University, Moorhead and North Dakota State University, institutions which, in combination with Concordia College, form the Tri-College University system.
