The program addresses both commercial and residential design while ensuring students have an equally strong background in the humanities, including the essentials of the history of art and design . Starting freshman year, all students study the fundamentals of design and history. Beginning in the sophomore year, Interior Design BFA students specialize with a suite of courses designed to improve skills in computer drafting, digital graphics, graphic composition, materials and methods of construction, and history of design, decorative arts, and architecture.
