Religion and Philosophy from Culver - Stockton College is a Campus Bachelor Philosophy degree that prepares you for a Liberal Arts career. Students who major in religion and philosophy at Culver-Stockton will explore a wide range of religious and philosophical world views and learn to appreciate the interconnectedness of ideas, values and actions. Students pursuing this major will not only be able to articulate an examined faith, but also have developed strong critical thinking skills and a better understanding of other viewpoints and beliefs. To earn a degree in religion and philosophy, students must complete 36 hours of coursework in the major, which can include no more than three hours of internship credit. Coursework includes classes in biblical studies , religion in America, religion and popular culture, comparative religions, philosophy and ethics. Students are encouraged to also take courses in history, psychology, sociology, literature, speech and foreign language. Students also are encouraged to participate in the annual C-SC mission trip. If you are preparing for seminary, you may also major in English, history, political science, psychology or communication. C-SC also offers internships and other opportunities to help pre-seminary students explore practical ministry. What can I do with this major?
