Students also examine the psychology of a suicide bomber in the context of societal and extreme religious belief systems. To develop a core understanding of the motivations and mechanics of those who would attack America and how to best combat these threats, the degree offers concentrated studies in: Domestic and International Terrorism Threat Assessment Principles of Conflict and Terror Risk and Crisis Management Infrastructure Protection Disaster Response Emergency and Recovery Planning Three Degree Concentrations Students may declare an Aviation Security, Computer Security, or a Self-Designed Concentration to pursue their personal and professional goals. Aviation Security Concentration The Aviation Security concentration introduces students to strategies for countering terrorist threats in aviation and transportation security. Students learn best practices for successful aviation emergency planning and response. They also study the laws, policies, and procedures that impact security issues.
