Radiography from Delta College is a Campus Associate Radiology degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. Working under the supervision of a physician, Radiographers (also called Radiologic Technologists) assist in patient care and diagnosis through the use of x-ray equipment to take images of the internal structures of a patient's body. Radiographers position the patient; provide appropriate patient care; determine and set exposure factors; expose and process the required number of radiographs; prepare and help administer chemical mixtures called contrast media; assist in fluoroscopic examinations; and use radiation protection devices and techniques. Upon successfully completing this program, you are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
