Clinical tasks may vary according to State law but may include but not be limited to taking medical histories, obtaining and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures, preparing patients for examination and assisting the physician during the examination, performing basic laboratory procedures and electrocardiograms, disposing of contaminated supplies, and sterilizing medical instruments.
