Objectives To develop a basic understanding of general psychology , including acquired or learned bases of behavior, social/cultural/systemic bases of behavior, and individual or unique bases of behavior. To develop knowledge of research design, methodologies, and statistical techniques. To develop knowledge of theory, history, research, and applications of industrial psychology topics such as employee selection, human resource measurement and validation, criterion theory and development, job analysis, performance appraisal, and human resources training and development. To develop knowledge of theory, history, research, and applications of organizational psychology topics such as worker motivation, employee attitudes, work teams/groups, leadership, organizational change and development, organizational climate and culture, and work environments. To develop knowledge of other work-related topics such as human factors, human resources management, employee assistance programs, or business principles. To develop applied research and statistical skills used to investigate questions and acquire knowledge in organizations. To develop skills to apply knowledge and techniques of industrial and organizational psychology in a variety of settings, including business, industry, government, and not-for-profit organizations.
