The Department of History and Anthropology at Edinboro University offers an undergraduate degree program in Latin American Studies . An interdisciplinary program that brings together faculty from nine different departments in two schools (Liberal Arts and Science, Management, and Technology), Latin American Studies offers both a specialized and integrative approach to preparation for competing in the international job market. The Latin American Studies Major will prepare graduates to compete in our global society, enabling them to work for international corporations, federal, state, and local governments, social services, and in education. Its design will also provide graduates with the necessary background to pursue advanced academic study either in graduate or law school. The program prepares students to become global citizens in the 21st century. The strength and flexibility of the program is found in its structure: 18 hours in Latin American Studies 21 hours in Spanish 12 hours in International Business/ Politics OR 12 hours in Cultural Studies Internships (both here and abroad) 15-18 hours of Free Electives (depending on track) additional hours in Business if choosing the IBP track Opportunities: Employment (marketing-sales) with international corporations abroad Employment (marketing-sales) with international corporations domestically Acquire knowledge/understanding of Latin American cultures Acquire language proficiency in Spanish Employment with Immigration and Naturalization Advisory and consulting positions Provides necessary cultural and historical understanding View more details on Edinboro University of Pennsylvania .
