Edison State College has received SACS accreditation to begin offering the BSN program in the Fall of 2009. The BSN program is designed for a student who has completed the RN. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Admissions Requirements 1. Applicants must apply for admission and be accepted to Edison College. Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities must be sent directly to the Office of the Registrar. 2. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in all postsecondary coursework. 3. Applicants must provide official transcripts showing an A.S. Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution or a diploma in nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, along with an associates degree . 4. Applicants must provide a copy of a valid, unrestricted, unencumbered RN license from the state in which the applicant is practicing, to be kept current throughout the duration of the required course of study. 5. Applicants must complete all college preparatory coursework and a minimum of fifteen (15) semester hours of transferable general education coursework for admission into the BSN program. 6. Students must complete ENC 1101, ENC 1102 and one college level math course prior to enrollment in any upper division courses (numbered 3000 level or above).
