The Child Development Associate Credential-Certificate of Completion Program is a two-semester program designed to train students to meet the specific needs of a group of children (ages 0-5). This is accomplished by nurturing the children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth; by establishing and maintaining a proper child care environment; and by promoting good relations between parents and the development center. This prepares students for a regular or bilingual CDA credential. Preparation of the assessment documentation and site visits required for the assessment are included. Students enrolling in this program must be currently working directly with children (ages 0-5) in an early childhood education program (with children birth to 5 years of age).
