In addition, we expose our students to a more nuanced world and prepare them to be global citizens. The curriculum offers the possibility of combining Spanish or French with other disciplines. Students who choose a joint major in Spanish and some other area of concentration such as Business or Biology may notably improve their job possibilities and marketability. During this academic year Fisk has been honored to host a Fulbright Teaching Assistant from Tanzania who is currently offering classes in Kiswahili and Tanzanian culture. Fluency or ease of expression in any foreign language is an irrefutable asset and knowledge of foreign cultures is paramount to international understanding.
