As an elementary education major at Flagler, you will take advantage of dedicated faculty and an excellent curriculum that blends theory and scholarship with practical teaching experiences to develop basic competencies, knowledge, and expertise in all of the subjects taught in the elementary classroom (including reading, writing, mathematics, the arts, sciences, social studies, physical education , and health). You may choose to major just in elementary education, or select from among two specialized majors resulting in dual certification (Exceptional Student Education and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) and one leading to single certification (Elementary Education K-6). All are state-approved education degree programs that include the required ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement.
