A dedicated faculty offer courses ranging from urban politics and community, architecture and the built environment, urban history, immigration and class relations, to literary representations of urban space. Involvement is the Core of Urban Studies You'll meet face-to-face with people who make things happen, including community organizers and activists, politicians and government officials, leaders in business and labor, journalists, and residents of the city from all walks of life. Majors have worked as tenant organizers, founded basketball leagues for neighborhood youth in the South Bronx, and performed outreach for AIDS patients.
