Food and Nutrition Dietetics from Framingham State University is a Campus Bachelor Dietetics degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. The Coordinated Program in Dietetics allows students to complete all requirements of the American Dietetic Association to become a Registered Dietitian. The Coordinated Program in Dietetics concentration combines academic courses and supervised practice experience requirements of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) into a two-year sequential program. During the junior and senior years, students who are accepted into the Coordinated Program affiliate with medical nutrition therapy/foodservice/community programs in hospitals, schools, businesses and health centers, where they complete "supervised practice hours," in addition to their coursework. After completion, students are eligible to take the national Registration Exam for Dietitians. All undergraduate Food and Nutrition majors are first admitted to the Nutrition and Dietetics concentration. Admission to the Coordinated Program is done through an application process usually in the sophomore year, once the program prerequisites have been completed.
