Physical Science from Freed - Hardeman University is a Campus Bachelor Physics degree that prepares you for a Science career. In addition to the pre-engineering program, Freed-Hardeman also offers the pre-engineering technology option. This program does not involve the mathematical and theoretical rigor found in the traditional engineering curriculum. The department offers baccalaureate majors in chemistry and in physical science. A minor in chemistry is also offered. The department offers two options in pre-engineering: the standard two-year pre-engineering curriculum, or a dual degree program in which the student may receive a bachelor's degree with a major in physical science from Freed-Hardeman and a degree in engineering from an approved school of engineering after the successful completion of the prescribed curricula at both schools. The dual degree is a 3-2 program, including three years at Freed-Hardeman and two years at an approved school of engineering. Freed-Hardeman has dual degree affiliations with Auburn University, University of Memphis, Oklahoma Christian University of Arts & Sciences , Tennessee Technological University, the University of Tennessee, and Vanderbilt University. Transfer arrangements, however, are not limited to these universities.
