The program meets the basic course requirements for teachers in private preschools licensed by the California State Department of Social Services, and the Child Development Permit at the Associate Teacher Level issued by the Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing for teachers in public infant care; preschools, school age and children center programs. Upon completion of the Associates degree with a major in Early Childhood Education and after meeting the required employment experience hours, students would be eligible to apply for a Child Development Permit, Teacher Level.
