Program Information This program covers both the U.S. Department of Transportation 1985 Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate and the 1994 Emergency Medical Technician-Basic curriculums. The EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) program is designed to provide education and skill instruction in specific areas of advanced life support that go beyond those of the Basic EMT. Successful program graduates are awarded a certificate of credit upon verification that all academic and fiduciary requirements have been met. Additionally, successful program graduates are eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMT's (NREMT) EMT-Intermediate/85 licensing exam upon confirmation by the State Office of EMS that all academic requirements have been met.
